Author Biography:

Amanda Howlett-Long is a Student Advising Officer at Olds College in Alberta and has worked in the field of post-secondary education since her second year of university. She completed her Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies in 2021 through Memorial University of Newfoundland, and her Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Guelph-Humber in 2014. Amanda has always had a passion for helping students succeed and took on a special interest in studying grief after the loss of her dad in 2018. Her hobbies include five-pin bowling, card making, scrapbooking, and reading.
