Author Biographies:

Dr. Fayez Mahamid is an associate professor of clinical mental health counselling. He currently lectures at An- Najah National University in undergraduate and graduate mental health programs.  He served as head of the Psychology Department and vice dean of the Graduate School of Human Sciences at An-Najah University.

Dr. Mahamid has supervised several projects in the field of mental health, on topics including group therapy, trauma intervention and psycho-social rehabilitation in Palestine.  His research is focused on using mixed methods research designs to investigate domains and dimensions of well-being in war-affected populations, therapeutic intervention, trauma intervention, mental health, internet addiction, clinical supervision, and school counselling.

 

 

Dana Bdier received her Ph.D. from the University of Milano-Bicocca and has a master’s degree in Psychological and Educational Counseling from An-Najah National University. Her research interests are focused on areas related to psychology and human sciences, mainly in the Palestinian context. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, she has conducted several studies examining the mental health status of groups of Palestinians such as children adolescents, women, and health care providers.
